Frank Chambers, Founding President of Middlesex County College, Dead at 94

Frank Chambers helped found the Edison community college and served as its president from 1965 to 1975.

Frank Chambers, the founding president of Middlesex County College, passed away on December 23, according to the college.

He was 94.

Chambers served as president of the college from June 1965 until June 1975.

After his retirement, he traveled around the country. He was living in Arizona at the time of his death, according to the college. 

“As the founding father of one of the first community colleges in New Jersey, Frank Chambers is a member of a small group of dedicated people whose life and work transformed the lives of thousand of students," said Middlesex County College president Joann La Perla-Morales.
