New Jersey saw a lot of action in 2013.

After a summer shared with thousands of cicadasmarriage equality became official in New Jersey. Meanwhile, Gov. Chris Christie won a second term in office, while the dream of in-state college tuition costs became a reality forDREAMERS.

While all this was going on, New Jersey rushed to clean up and set out the welcome mat for January 2014 Superbowl. But in many places, residents are just trying to clean up enough to the point of having a home again more than one year after Hurricane Sandy.
