Get Educated about Woodbridge's Earth Day

Get all green this Earth Day at the Woodbridge Community Center, where a host of eco-friendly vendors will set up this Saturday.

This Earth Day, you can learn a lot about how to help the planet, and have some fun while doing it.

The Woodbridge Township Environmental Commission will be holding an Earth Day Fair this Saturday, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Woodbridge Community Center.

The fair will feature eco-friendly vendors, community and education groups, information on recycling, solar energy, and parks. The Earth Day Fair, the commission said, "provides an avenue for community outreach to educate about ecologically friendly options."

The township will be using the Earth Day opportunity to discuss its green leadership with hybrid vehicles, open space acquisition - like the Colonia Country Club - and the installation of solar panels on public buildings.

Ciel Power, which has partnered with the township, will have representatives available to discuss home energy audits, energy-efficiency products & services, and the New Jersey Home Performance with Energy Star Program. You will also be able to buy a $49 Greenable Woodbridge Home Energy Audit.
