American Cancer Society Holds 'Relay For Life' Fundraiser

The American Cancer Society - Relay For Life is not your typical fundraiser: it’s a unique volunteer-driven, overnight celebration for the entire community. All are invited to walk, wheel, run and camp with us. Participation in Relay For Life benefits American Cancer Society lifesaving cancer research, disease prevention and patient service programs.

The American Cancer Society-Relay For Life is not your typical fundraiser: this is an overnight celebration where teams and individuals camp out, and take turns walking or running around a track "relay" style. At nightfall, participants light hundreds of luminaria candles around the track in a touching ceremony honoring cancer survivors as well as paying tribute to those lost to the disease. Donations raised at Relay For Life fund cutting-edge research, early detection and prevention, advocacy efforts and patient services.
