The Majestic Lanes Bowling Alley in Hopelawn host its second annual Holiday Toy Drive fundraiser December 11 from 1 pm to 5 pm. Two games will cost $5 with a donation of a new, unwrapped toy. Shoe rental is included in the price. The toy drive will benefit the David's Touch Foundation, a foundation started to help alleviate the pain and suffering of sick children by giving them something else to focus on outside of sterile hospital walls. Jenny Perez-Rosado, founder of the organization, lost her young son to lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system. He was nine years old when he died.
"I saw how important each individual gift is for a suffering child," Perez-Rosado said in a previous PATCH article: davids-touch-inspires-many-to-give.
After her son died, Rosado started the foundation David's Touch through which she and her husband, Rick Rosado help hospitalized children through numerous kind acts, including the distribution of toys during the Christmas season
