NJ 2nd Amendment Society President to Speak on Gun Rights

A NATIONAL ASSAULT ON THE SECOND AMENDMENT AND HOW TO FIGHT BACK WILL BE THE TOPIC OF PRESENTATION SPONSORED BY MIDDLESEX COUNTY TEA PARTY.

On Thursday, May 2 at 7:00 p.m., Frank ‘Jack’ Fiamingo, founder and president of the New Jersey 2nd Amendment Society (NJ2AS) will discuss the growing effort by New Jersey and Washington D.C. to ignore the Bill of Rights and impose progressive restrictions on “the right of the people to keep and bear arms.” The presentation will take place at the Peterpank Diner or Route 9 North, in Sayreville, NJ.

Despite evidence showing that restricting lawful citizens from owning weapons increases rather than decreases incidents of violence, the Obama White House, the Democratic-led Senate, Democrats in the NJ legislature and NJ Governor Chris Christie have sought to apply ex-Obama chief-of-staff and current mayor of Chicago Rahm Emanuel’s cynical adage to “never let a crisis go to waste.”

Politicians have pounced on anything from illegal weapons to the terroristic use of pressure cookers in order to justify their call for more government control over law-abiding citizens’ right to possess lawfully obtained weapons and ammunition .

Mr. Fiamingo, a semi-retired business owner who, because of his new-found hobby of pistol shooting, has come to find that gun owners are treated as “less than second class citizens,” will address gun rights, gun laws and the effort by NJ2AS to support the “free exercise of Second Amendment protected rights.” Specific actions against current threats by state and federal officials who are currently seeking to disregard the Bill of Rights will also be addressed.

Gun owners and anyone concerned about this latest attack on individual liberties and the Constitution are urged to attend this free two-hour presentation hosted by the Middlesex County Tea Party.

Those in attendance will also learn about NJ2AS.com and its efforts on both a state and national level to help “educate the community regarding the enjoyable, safe, and responsible use of firearms.” Additional educational and activist programs will also be made available to those in attendance.

Food and drink will be available for purchase prior to the meeting. Please contact gcharwin@midcoteaparty.org or go to www.midcoteaparty.org for additional information.
