Raconteur Radio returns to the BAC this September to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Orson Welles’ infamous radio play.  As usual, RacRad will present a staged radio drama complete with costumes, lighting & sound effects. Raconteur Radio, a theater group dedicated to the weird, wonderful, and beautifully retro, will put a vintage spin on the Welles & Wells classic, with period costumes, theatrical lighting, and sound effects that hearken back to the years of classic entertainment.  These elements, in combination with the architecturally stunning backdrop supplied by Woodbridge’s historic Barron Arts Center, will transport the audience to October 30, 1938 as the nation sat glued to their radios.

“War of the Worlds: A Staged Radio Drama presented by Raconteur Radio will be performed Wednesday Evening ~ September 25, 2013 ~ 7:30 p.m  at The Barron Arts Center 582 Rahway Avenue Woodbridge NJ 07095. Reservations are required. Please call 732-634-0413.

This and other programs at the Barron Arts center is sponsored by The Woodbridge Township Cultural Arts Commission chaired by Dr. Dolores Capraro Gioffre with the support of Mayor John E. McCormac.
