Please
join us for the grand re-opening celebration of Professional Music
Academy! In just two years, Professional Music Academy has grown to be
one of the largest community music schools in Middlesex County. At our
new location at 399 Pearl Street in Woodbridge, we have 7 studio spaces
for our expert woodwind, brass, strings, piano, percussion, guitar, and
vocal faculty, as well as a large performance area. We will continue to
be the home of the New Horizons Band of Woodbridge, an adult community
band, as well as Music Together of Edison & Woodbridge, a program
for young children. Over the past two years, our students have ranked
highly in national and international competitions, and have earned
places in Region Band, All-State, All-Eastern, and National Wind
Ensembles and Orchestras. Many of our students have gone on to pursue
college degrees in the music field at colleges and conservatories around
the United States.

One of the unique aspects of
being a student at Professional Music Academy is the ability to perform
in master classes with some of the world’s leading musicians; Roger
Ingram of the Harry Connick Jr. Band, international clarinet soloist
Julian Bliss, Charles Lazarus of the Minnesota Orchestra, and master
marimba artist Greg Gianniscoli have all come in to give clinics. These
special events were made possible by the generosity of our friends at
Conn-Selmer, Yamaha, Jupiter, and Dillon Music. This coming year, we
have plans to bring in many more teaching artists, including Dr. Jerry
Rife, head of the music department at Rider University.

We hope you will join Mayor John E. McCormac and the PMA family on July 27th to
celebrate our new beginning at 399 Pearl Street. We will have
performances by the Professional Music Academy Summer Festival Band,
members of the New Horizons Band of Woodbridge, and PMA students and
faculty members.
