Metuchen Savings Bank will host Metuchen Cares: An Economic Forum For First Time Home Buyers on Thursday, April 24th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Edison Branch YMCA Community Campus at 1775 Oak Tree Rd, Edison.  This seminar is an ongoing effort to educate consumers on becoming homeowners and achieving the American Dream. Topics discussed will include: First Steps, Mortgage Pre-Qualification Info,Understanding Your Credit Scores and Discovering Down Payment Sources.

Armando
Faria, Loan Originator, will be joined by Michele Palmucci, Loan Originator, as
keynote speakers. Ken Totten, Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at
Metuchen Savings Bank, said, “By purchasing a new home, you are contributing to
the strength of your community’s economy while taking an important step towards
ensuring your own financial future.  At
Metuchen Savings Bank, we focus on educating our customers and providing them
with the tools they need to make this important investment.”

MetuchenSavings Bank has been unlocking the doors to the mysteries of the mortgage process for 116 years and, unlike many other lenders, all lending decisions are still made locally.   Because interest rates remain at an all-time low and housing prices reflect a buyer’s market, now may be an opportune time for homeowners to make great deals, according to Mr. Totten.  He added, “Mortgage money is available to qualified homeowners who can demonstrate their ability and willingness to repay. Metuchen Savings Bank offers a vast array of mortgage products, and adds an experienced staff available not only to answer your questions, but also to process your mortgage application in an efficient and timely manner.  I encourage anyone interested in learning more to attend this valuable forum on April 24th.”

The April 24th
Economic Forum will focus on four specific areas, with additional time allotted for Q & A:
