EDUCATING STUDENTS WITH DIGNITY:
Shouldn’t Schools Be Safe?
A TASH Training
Presented by Renay Zamloot, Education Advocate
This presentation will focus on the use of forced seclusion and restraint on children and young adults with disabilities in public school and private school settings paid by public funds.
You will hear from the parents of a young child with disabilities who has been victimized by these abusive practices.
You will learn how to develop positive IEPs and the steps you should take if you suspect your child has been subjected to the use of these harmful tactics.
Renay Zamloot works with NJ families of students with disabilities from the preschool years through transition into post-secondary life to ensure the development of truly individualized education programs.
