Civil War Living History Weekend

Annual Civil War Living History Weekend sponsored by the Robert E. Lee Civil War Round Table of Central New Jersey.  Enjoy a step back into the 19th Century by visiting with Civil War personalities, soldiers, civilians and sutlers.  Camps are open from 10:00 Am to 4:00 PM each day.  There are daily skirmishes, children's soldier drill and children's Civil War information scavenger hunt.  Come and meet Civil War Union Generals Reynolds, Buford, Warren, Hunt, Sherman, and Confederate Generals Steele, Early and  McClaws.  Each day hear President Lincoln deliver the Gettysburg Address at 3:30.  A special 150th Commemoration of the year 1863 on Saturday evening at 8:00 featuring Gettysburg Battlefield Guide Larry Korczyk speaking on New Jersey's involvement in the war that year.  Ceremony will be followed by a Candle-light visit to each camp and living historians.  Learn more about the Civil War, and all for free.
