Letter to the Editor: Sanjeev Kapoor Reports Signs Stolen
Sanjeev Kapoor is a Democratic committeeman and a candidate for the fourth ward town council seat.
I Sanjeev Kapoor, am contesting the election as an Independent candidate for Woodbridge Ward 4. I won a committeeman seat for Woodbridge Ward 4, District 12. The Woodbridge Democratic Organization did not want to recognize me because I filed the application for Woodbridge Ward 4 councilman before I won as Democratic Committeeman.
Recently, I observed most of my yard signs were stolen and some of them were mishandled by unknown person(s). They have stolen or damaged approximately 100 lawn signs throughout Ward 4 of Woodbridge between Oct. 5, 2013 and Oct. 30, 2013. The approximate value of these stolen and damaged lawn signs exceeds $700. The poly-coated lawn signs measure 18” X 24” &4’ X 4’ with a blue background and the text “Vote Sanjeev Kapoor –Column C” in blue and red, with a picture.
I, Sanjeev Kapoor, of 80 Magnolia Road, Iselin, filed two criminal complaints on Oct. 19, 2013 (File Alarm #13116364) and Oct. 30, 2013 (File # 13121327) with the Woodbridge police department for damage to my lawn signs on many private properties along with a copy of videos as evidence. I didn’t get any response from the police department. Please take necessary action for a fair and honest election. Everyone should feel non-discriminated against in an election. I am looking forward to your response.
