My experiences, both professionally and personally, have led me to be best suited for the position of Councilwoman for the First Ward in Woodbridge Township. First, I am a lifelong resident of Woodbridge, working and raising my family here. I am proud to say my children are the 5th generation in Woodbridge.

As I look back on my past experiences as a resident of Woodbridge proper, caring for my family and the residents here, has always been my focus. Raising my children here has given me the opportunity to take on many volunteer roles in their respective academic and religious schools, sports teams and scouting as well as serving as a council committee member for the past 10 years. All the while meeting dedicated parents, coaches, and individuals who have, together with me and my family, given our community at large a whole lot to be proud of.

Once my children were out of school, I continued to support our community, maintain many friendships, and working full time at the Woodbridge Community Center as a Membership Director. This work created an opportunity to not only support our residents of all ages through wellness and enrichment but also gave me the opportunity to develop community relationships with local businesses.

3. What are the most pressing issues facing the community today? How would you approach and resolve these issues? One of the issues that I feel is very important is ensuring we improve our quality of life every day here in Woodbridge and Sewaren. Along with the mayor McCormac team, I will be committed to enhancing our arts programs, health services and recreational activities for all residents within our community including seniors, veterans, children and families. And, ensuring we continue to provide recycling and free garage sale programs and making our community cleaner by cleaning up our streets, sidewalks, and recreation areas to provide health and safety measures all around our town. I will work hard every day and offer my time, talents, and ideas to Woodbridge First Ward and remain innovative, progressive and proactive in an effort to increase the quality of life here in the first ward for our residents and businesses.

Some of my goals  that I will be working towards but will not be limited to will include attracting more businesses to Main Streets, enhancing the community center, working with the township on the "Green Technology Park" planned for Sewaren, maintaining our local park system, and to explore new ways to promote physical fitness and health in the township.
