Accompanying the snow is a severe wind advisory. The NWS says that our area will be in for winds ranging from 20 to 25 mph, with gusts of up to 50 mph. The winds are expected to die down about midnight.

All this weather is expected to create slushy road conditions. Drivers should be alert for slick road surfaces and be on the lookout for falling tree branches and wires brought down by the storm.
