Severe Storms on the Way

A torrential downpour may be on the way in the next few hours.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flood advisory for the central New Jersey area, including Middlesex County, until 7:30 pm Tuesday night.

Doppler radar shows a band of heavy shower and thunderstorm activity moving from Pennsylvania into the central New Jersey area. The storms, NWS predicts, can dump as much as an inch of rain in a short amount of time. 

The storms may cause as much as two inches of rainfall in the next few hours.
