More Rain Brings Flood Watch to the Area

The National Weather Service is advising not to get rid of the galoshes, or the water pump, just yet.

We might be in for rain. A lot more rain in the next few days.

After a thorough drenching by last week that brought to Woodbridge, the National Weather Service has advised that the local area is under a flood watch from this afternoon through Wednesday evening.

A flood watch means we can expect 2 to 4 inches of rain within the next 48 hours, with some areas of Middlesex County getting soaked with as much as 6 inches of rain by noon Wednesday.

The new rainwater on ground still saturated from last week's storms and floods means we can expect a new round of basement, small stream, and street flooding, the National Weather Service advised.

The weather forecast for the next few days has certain storms through Wednesday, with a 50 percent possibility the rain will continue through Thursday.
