Five Things: Passports, Story Time, and a Farmer's Market

Lots to keep you and the family busy and entertained on the first day of Sept.

  1. Need a passport? will be the location for a satellite passport office program where residents can either apply for or renew their passports. From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Middlesex County residents can take advantage of this local service otherwise only available in New Brunswick. The council meeting room on the first floor of Town Hall will be used as the one day office for these services. For more info, call 732-602-6039.
  2. Need fresh produce today? Try the in Rahway which runs from 11 am to 7 pm at the Rahway Train Station Plaza at East Milton and Irving Streets. 
  3. Registration is open for for adults, teens (ages 12-16), and children (ages 7–11) at Arts Guild New Jersey in Rahway. Fall classes begin the week of Sept. 19.   4. It's never too late to get into gardening. Meet with a horticulturist from the Middlesex County office of the Rutgers Cooperative Extension who will present a seminar at the Earth Center located in Davidson’s Mill Pond Park in South Brunswick. The cost is $20 and pre-registration is required. The deadline to register is Sept. 14. For more info, call 732-398-5262.
  5. It's storytime at Barnes & Noble. Bring your kids to listen to at the bookstore at Menlo Park Mall at 11 am. The program is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Dec. 1. For more info, call 732-548-4179.
