The big story that far outdrew any other for Woodbridge Patch in February was going about his business delivering packages on foot, when he was struck and killed by a minivan driver.

"He was just doing his job," said Woodbridge Police Captain Roy Hoppock.

The bizarre story about the 'Mattress Man' also made the top stories in February. That was the tale of a strange guy who tried to force his way into a Port Reading home because he needed to inspect the homeowner's mattress.

The Hurricane Sandy scam artist who hit the area shelters after the storm, and then set up shop on Rahway Avenue in a lawyer's office, was a much-read story. He was arrested after he scammed Sandy victims out of $50,000 of their FEMA money.
