Halloween is a fun time for many children and will be even more fun with these safety tips!

Halloween is a fun time for many children.  "Trick or treat!" is a phrase the kids enjoying saying as they go through the neighborhood in their costumes.  We have some tips on ensureing your child’s saftey during the festivities!

  1. Plan your route in advance.   Only go to areas that you are familiar with.
  2. Dress your child in comfortable shoes. This will allow your child to walk safely, and avoid you from having to carry them!
  3. Keep Kids hydrated!
  4. Only go to well-lit homes and do not continue past 9:00pm
  5. Childrens should walk, not run- and should not cut through yard as there could be obstacles that are are not visible.
  6. Carefully inspect all candy before your child eats it.

Selecting a costume:

  1. Costumes that drag on the ground can be a safety hazard.- children can trip or get caught in bushes
  2. Make sure there is enough visibility and breathing through the mask.- parents should try on the mask and if needed cut hold to make the eye and breathing spaces larger
  3. Make sure the costume is warm or allows layers
  4. Ensure the costume is Bathroom friendly-  pre plan a bathroom stop
  5. Use props that are flexible- swords, wands, knives and hard objects could injure the child if they fall, and they often get in the way of trick or treating and collecting candy!
  6. Be bright- have your child wear something flashy like a glow bracelet, reflective material or even light up shoes.

So far I see a lot of people have left the scene which means another restructuring is due.

Heres something funny one woman notified the state of NJ that AOL had been been too aggressiveRead More monitoring her posts. The state warned the ISP as a result of the complaint. Now the HuffingPost handles what use to be the AOL boards. Many former posters have left for greener posting opportunites rather then be bullied by half witted nobodies who can't even accept your right to free speech. Now the text messaging generation and older media users are using other services rather than be hounded by people who just like to pretend their your superiors.

The HuffingPost? Is that like the Drug Dealer's Daily? As to the main post, wasn't it just a jokeRead More to name their spam bot Senior Spam Robot? As in Superior, not as in over 55? That's how I read it, anyway.
