Power Out During Sandy? Get a Comcast Credit

The cable company is offering credits to customers who couldn't access their Comcast services during Hurricane Sandy.

During a devastating, money-draining storm like Hurricane Sandy, every dollar you can save helps.

To that end, Comcast is offering credits to customers who lost electrical service during Hurricane Sandy. While the cable services might still have been on, the lack of electrical service would've meant customers couldn't use their cable TV, Internet, or phone services.

"Our hearts go out to our customers impacted by the storm, and we want to do everything we can to make things even a little easier as they go through this difficult time," said Comcast spokeswoman Jennifer Bilotta in a statement.

"Customers can contact us and identify the time period during which they did not have access to Comcast services to receive a credit. We will work with each customer who contacts us so we can be sensitive to their specific needs and circumstances.”

To reach Comcast, call 1-800-COMCAST.
