Woodbridge-based Rock Band Plays Bamboozle Music Festival

Audio Insight earned a spot at the festival via The Break contest

After months of preparation and concerts, played the Bamboozle festival at the New Meadowlands Stadium Friday night.

“We’re pretty excited,” said singer/guitarist Anthony Celi shortly before the band’s set.  “Just look around, there’s thousands of people here.  It’s pretty awesome.”

Kicking off their set with the ear-splitting “Dimensions (Part 1)” off their debut album Dimensions, the three-piece band ripped through a set that included their debut single “Sheepskin” as well as a cover of Rush’s “The Spirit of Radio” for a crowd that steadily grew over the course of the half-hour performance.

Though they were playing the biggest show of the band’s young career, none of the three band members were feeling pressure before the performance.  “There’s no reason to be nervous anymore,” said drummer Dan Sullivan.

“We’re just really excited,” added bassist Mike Deverin.

With the Bamboozle Break contest and festival performance in the books, the members of Audio Insight are looking to the future.  “In June, we’re playing a competition for a chance to play at the Warped Tour,” said Sullivan.  The band also has performances at Bar A in Belmar and Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson lined up in the coming months.
