Woodbridge Band Audio Insight to Join Bon Jovi & More at Bamboozle

Woodbridge will be well represented at the annual festival, which heads back to Asbury Park this May.

, Woodbridge rockers have played their way onto the lineup for The Bamboozle, the annual three-day music festival taking place May 18, 19, & 20th.

The Bamboozle, which is celebrating it's 10th anniversary this year, is heading back to the beach for the first time since 2005 - Asbury Park's North Beach, to be specific.  Foo Fighters, blink-182, Skrillex, Incubus, Brand New, and New Jersey rock legends Bon Jovi headline the festival.

The festival will feature numerous stages for music and entertainment,
including the biggest beach stage ever built in the United States.

In fact, the similarities between and the early days of Bon Jovi are quite striking.  While the genre of music may be different, both Bon Jovi and Audio Insight are New Jersey-based, with all band members hailing from Middlesex County.  Audio Insight call Woodbridge and Fords home, while the members of Bon Jovi grew up in Woodbridge, Colonia, Edison, and Sayreville.  The members of both bands are self-taught musicians.

Additionally, Anthony Celi (vocals and guitar) and Mike Deverin (bass) of Audio Insight are graduates of Woodbridge High School, the alma mater of Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, who graduated over 20 years prior.  Dan Sullivan (drums) graduated from Metuchen High School.

To earn a slot at The Bamboozle alongside Bon Jovi and over 100 other acts, Audio Insight played a set at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park as a hand-picked participant of The Break Invitational earlier this month, and were announced as one of the winners the following day.

"We played the music that best represents what we're trying to accomplish as a band," said Celi of the showcase.  "Audio Insight blurs the boundary
between the genres of progressive metal and post-hardcore music, and that's what we portrayed at The Break Invitational...they liked us last year and apparently they loved us this year."

In addition to Audio Insight, Bon Jovi, and the aforementioned headliners, other acts at The Bamboozle will include Jimmy Eat World, DJ Pauly D, Mac Miller, All American Rejects, Andrew Dice Clay, Boys Like Girls, Motion City Soundtrack, and The Promise Ring, alongside nationally-known New Jersey-related acts including The Bouncing Souls, Dramarama, and The Gaslight Anthem, who were recently announced as a special guest.

The Bamboozle will also feature after parties with Bamboozle performers Skrillex and DJ Pauly D as well as the Barstool Blackout FOAM party,
performances by Fishbone, Big Freedia, Dramarama, Tragedy: A Tribute to the Bee Gees, and more.  After parties will require a separate ticket purchase and are only available to festival attendees.  Hours will also be extended for all of the attractions along the boardwalk, including restaurants, mini-golf, a "silent rave" on Saturday night (music is broadcast over wireless headphones), and beach bonfires on Friday and Saturday night with performances by The Story So Far and Motion City Soundtrack, among others.

Single-day, three-day, and after party passes are currently available for purchase - for more information on passes, after parties, scheduled performers, the daily festival lineup, and transit information, visit thebamboozle.com.
