Woodbridge Wednesday Returns With Music, Vendors

The Farmers Market, Downtown Cruise and The Willie Nile Band performance held at Parker Press Park.

The first Woodbridge Wednesday of the season took place this week at Parker Press Park, featuring The Willie Nile Band, vendors, the Downtown Car Cruise and more.

At 3 p.m. vendors for the Farmers Market were set up and ready to sell and by 4 p.m. residents began to trickle in.

Members of The Willie Nile Band were tuning their guitars as Mayor John McCormac hosted a segment for TV-35 interviewing all the vendors that came out for the event.

Some of the vendors included, the Breadsmith of Cranford, Tina's TLC Handcrafted Soap, Bath and Body Essentials, Jaker's Pickles, Norz Hill Farm and Market, Benson's Barbecue and Neils Sharpening Service.

Prior to the performance of The Willie Nile Band, J.J. Bitting Brewing Co. set up a wine and beer garden and Rita's served italian ices. Yoga was also taking place on the lawn in front of the stage.

At 6 p.m., cars lined up down Main Street for the first night of the Downtown Car Cruise. Additional cruises will be held on July 17 and August 21.

The Willie Nile Band took the stage around 7:30 p.m. to a crowded lawn of attendees. Woodbridge's Free Concert Series will run until August 21. For upcoming performers visit our previous post on Woodbridge Wednesday's.
