The Duprees' Doo-Wop Sound Will Be Headlining a Free Concert Tonight

Bring a chair, a blanket, and a canned donation for the town's food bank.

The best of doo-wop will be coming to Woodbridge tonight. That's when the Duprees will be playing on the stage behind Woodbridge High School at 7:30 pm.

The group was formed out of Jersey City in the early 60s by Michael Arnone. Among the many hits they created, "You Belong to Me" in 1962 was the sound that launched a million proms that year. Several of the original members quit the group over the years, and Arnone himself died in 2005.

None of the original members of the Duprees is with the group anymore. But the current musicians - Tommy Petillo, Jimmy Spinelli, Phil Granito, and Tony Testa - keep the original group's lush big band sound alive.
