It’s time for another Grab & Go Kids Planner, where we here at the Woodbridge Patch find what we think are five of the most interesting, educational, or just plain fun things to do with your kids this weekend, and assemble all of the information in one easy planner for you.  Enjoy!

  • An Evening of Dance at Royal Alberts Grand Ballroom; 1050 King Georges Post Rd, Fords; 732-662-9353; Price: Adults $10, Children under 13 $5; Sunday, 2 PM

A lineup of professional dancers including Brenda Pippik (former cast member of the Broadway musical 42nd Street), Polynesian Dance group Mele Kini, and professional Belly Dance Artist Beverly Liu will join an multi-cultural dance lineup sure to delight and entertain the entire family.  An hour of social dancing will follow the 90-minute performance.

  • Thomas and Friends Live! On Stage at The Theater at Madison Square Garden; 4 Pennsylvania Plaza, New York, NY;866-858-0000; Price: $25-$125 (save 15% on 5 PM performances with coupon code MOM); Saturday and Sunday, 11 AM, 2 PM, and 5 PM

Everyone’s favorite Tank Engine brings his stories of friendship and cooperation to the Theater at Madison Square Garden, located just above Penn Station in New York City (take the train from Woodbridge Train Station and you’re there in about 40 minutes).  Thomas, Percy, Diesel, and all of their friends will be there as they work together to save the Magic Lantern Festival from a big storm rolling in.  Use discount code “MOM” to save 15% on tickets for the 5 PM performances.

  • The New Shanghai Circus at Kean University; 1000 Morris Ave., Union; 908-737-7469; Price: $15; Friday, 7 PM.

The New Shanghai Circus brings over 2,000 years of Chinese circus traditions to Kean University’s Wilkins Theater in Union Friday night.  You’ll see fearless performers with boundless energy perform magic, acrobatics, contortionism, and other fun circus acts.  And at $15, tickets to this show are a fraction of the price of the bigger circuses, but promises to be just as entertaining.

  • Little Rockers in concert: Lunch with the Little Rockers at The Downtown; 10 West Front St, Red Bank; 848-466-7031; Price: $15 in advance, $18 at the door; Sunday, 12-3 PM

Little Rockers plays hip, fun rockin’ music for the little ones Sunday in Red Bank.  An extension of the Little Rockers music classes, the Little Rockers concert and Lunch with the Little Rockers will feature music from class in a full out concert for families.  Lunch will be at 12 noon, with the concert at 1 PM and an after-party at 2.

  • Maple Sugar Sunday at the Miller-Cory House Museum; 614 Mountain Ave, Westfield; 908-232-1776; Price: $3 adults, $1 children; Sunday, 2-4 PM

Have some sweet fun at this event, ideal for children.  In addition to maple sugaring, costumed guides will be on hand to lead tours through the 1740 farmhouse.  There will also be open-hearth cooking demonstrations at the Frazee House building
