LAST CHANCE: Ari Hest Concert at Music on Main
Tix are still available for the Emerging Artist series at the Barron Arts Center on May 10.
Ari Hest is nothing if not productive. The singer-songwriter released a debut album on Columbia Records in 2007, but a year later, he wanted more creative control over his music, so he branched out onto Youtube.
Hest launched what he called the 52 project, a series of songs, one written, recorded, and released every Monday, for an entire year. Fans voted for their favorites, and in 2009, Hest released an album of the winning fan favorites.
He's developed quite a following since. Hest will be playing at the Barron Arts Center this Thursday, May 10, at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door.
