Five Things: Ghost Hunting, Art Shows, Filmfests

Get a headstart on a glorious fall weekend in today's Five Things.

  1. Meet a real Ghost Hunter. The Proprietary House of Perth Amboy will host two showings of the filmed episode of " where the television show featured the legendary historic site. The film will be shown tonight, Oct. 7 and Oct. 14 at 7:30 pm. Bruce Tango of the show will be there and engage in a Q&A with audience members.   4. See an art show.  The Mason Gross School of the Arts in New Brunswick is holding its Fall Art Show which continues through Oct. 22. Entitled "Mass Distractions and Cultural Decay," the showcases the work of over 150 artists dealing with the themes of racism, classism, nationalism, militarism, sexism, imperialism, colonialism and consumerism. Hours are Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 4 pm (and until 6 pm on Wednesday), and Saturday from noon to 4 pm. Admission is free. For more info, call 732-932-2222, ext. 798.
