Five Things: Free Horsedrawn Carriage Rides, Art Show

Much going on this weekend in Five Things.

  1. Go for a horse-drawn carriage ride. It's fun and free. of downtown New Brunswick along with a historian docent and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city during the holiday season. Go to the Hyatt Regency-New Brunswick or the Heldrich Hotel to be picked up. Rides start at 6 pm.
  2. Don't miss a great train exhibit. The is holding its phenomenal through Dec. 29. Hours are weekdays from 11 am to 4 pm and weekends from 2 pm to 4 pm. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. For more info, call 732-634-0413.
  3. Take in an art show. are on display at LightSoundSpace at 1591 Irving Street in Rahway. Feld's exhibition features representational landscapes, still-life oil paintings, and abstract compositions among other media, and the exhibit runs through Dec. 23. Admission is free.   4. Get some after school fun. The drop in youth facility is open for to all local middle school students living in Woodbridge Township. It's free and offers children activities such as a Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, movies, a pool table and ping pong among many other activities. The youth center is open Mondays through Fridays from 3 pm to 6 pm on school days.Β  For more info, call 732-738-6261.
  5. Don't forget the hungry this holiday season. Drop off non-perishable food items at the , as part of the program that helps replenish and stock the township's 11 food banks.Β
