All readers over 18 are invited to participate in the library’s adult summer reading club this summer from June 25 through August 17.  Between the Covers is the theme, but you are free to read anything you like, write reviews we’ll post on our Facebook page, enter to win weekly prizes (plus a grand prize of a Nook Tablet!) and meet your fellow readers at a series of programs at the Main Library and branches.

Programs at Main include Ghosts and the Paranormal, Meditation for Stress-Free Living, a Tuesday night film festival and a day-long closing event.  Main and branches will have mini-book discussions paired with a simple corner bookmark craft.

Read a book, fill out a slip, drop it in the Between the Covers box, and you may win a prize!  It’s that simple.  Or go online and enter your books.  Add a review to your entry and you’ll be published on our Facebook page.

Our Tuesday night summer film festival is entitled “Night Moves” and includes Saturday Night Fever, It Happened One Night, Talladega Nights, and four more excellent films for your viewing pleasure.

To participate, come into the Main Library or any of our branches in Colonia, Fords or Iselin any time we’re open.  Ask at the Information Desk for a registration packet, which will tell you everything you need to know about the club.  Or go online and read the information there.  And don’t forget to come to our gala closing event on August 14:  A 2pm ‘til 8pm Book/CD/DVD Swap complete with refreshments and a door prize for one lucky attendee!
