Woodbridge Holds 39th St. Patrick's Day Parade

The 39th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Woodbridge Township is set to take place at 1:30 pm on March 11. The parade will start from Woodbridge High School on Kelly Street. John “Sean” Keaveney will be the parade’s grand marshal. Keaveney, a native of Ireland, moved to New Jersey in 1972. He served in the U.S. Army for 25 years and is a life member of American Legion Post 89, the Warrant Officers Association and the Military Officers Association of America. He is also a member of the Woodbridge American Irish Association where he serves as director.

The parade will feature numerous pipe bands. Student bands from Woodbridge Township and nearby areas will also be part of the event. Approximately 100 marching units in total are expected to participate in the parade which will step off from Woodbridge High School and travel on Freeman Street, Linden Avenue, Green Street, Amboy Avenue to Main Street. The parade will end at the municipal offices on Main Street.
