Take a 'Ghost Walk' Tour in Woodbridge

Take an historic tour of sorts on Saturday, October 15 through downtown Woodbridge. The annual Woodbridge event will feature costumed guides who depict the many famous residents who have lived here centuries ago. Discover the township's past as guides tell tales about European settlers, Revolutionary War soldiers and many more who onced lived in the oldest municipality of New Jersey.

Tours will take place about every ten minutes and will originate from James Parker Press Park on Rahway Avenue. The first tour starts at 6:30 p.m. and is open to both adults and children. The cost is $5. There will be no charge for toddlers in strollers. The final tour starts at 9:30 p.m. and is for adults only.

Parties of 10 or more can pay for reservations in advance by calling Jane McLaughlin, owner of the European School of Dance in Fords at 732-738-6022.

Participants will receive a free cookie and cup of hot chocolate, courtesy of the Quick Chek Convenience Stores located on Main Street and on the corner of Green Street and Rahway Avenue.

A special after-walk cast party will be held Oct. 15 at 10:00 pm to midnight at J.J. Bitting’s, 33 Main Street, Woodbridge.
