Community Asked to Donate "214" to Township Food Drive

The "Have-A-Heart" food drive runs through Feb. 14.

The Mayor of Woodbridge will formally announce an annual food drive next week that challenges businesses, companies and families in Woodbridge to donate 214 pounds of food, or $214 to food pantries in the township.

The "Have-A-Heart" Valentine's Day food drive runs from Jan. 1 to Feb. 14, according to a press release from the mayor's office.

It will benefit the "We Feed Woodbridge" network of food pantries throughout the township.

Donations will be accepted at the Woodbridge Public Health Center, 2 George Frederick Plaza, or the Woodbridge Community Center, 600 Main St.

Sponsors and participants include Wegmans, ShopRite, Northfield Bank, the Colonia Business Community and the Colonia and Woodbridge Corner newspapers, according to the release.

Mayor John McCormac will kick off the drive on Monday with a press conference at the Colonia Country Club.
