Halloween's in the Air in Woodbridge

More than two weeks yet to Halloween, and the spooks and goblins already are out around town.

Halloween's a fun holiday, and some people take it to the max - you get the impression, they really, really enjoy October 31.

Here are some early Halloween decoration displays, in no particular order, that can be found around Woodbridge. Blow up characters - Sponge Bob, Scooby Doo, and a horse and carriage straight out of Sleepy Hallow - abound around town. Tiny pumpkin lights are strung up all over the place, joining daytime vignettes of chrystanthemums and Jack O'Lanterns.

One highly recommended haunted house that can't be missed is the graveyard display at a private home on Barron Ave., near Woodbridge Middle School. If you go at night, you'll definitely recognize it, especially when they hang the ghouls out the third story dormer windows in the glare of strobe lights.
