Examine the History of Black Baseball in America

The Woodbridge Main Library is hosting a presentation on the black contribution to the national sport in honor of Black History Month.

Celebrate Black History Month at the Woodbridge Main Library with a special program on the history of black players in baseball.

The program, to be held on Tuesday, February 12 at 7 pm, will feature Dr. Lawrence Hogan, professor of history at Union County College.

This presentation includes exhibit materials, as well as selections from the acclaimed video documentary of the same name. The black contribution to our national spor will be explored, and the rich relationships that comprised “Blackball” during America’s era of segregation will be examined in depth.
