Mark Miklos and the Ramblers

Modern Country/Bluegrass artist Mark Miklos & The Ramblers will perform at Woodbridge’s Barron Arts Center as part of the Exit 11: NJ
Arts Interactive Concert Series Thursday June 9, 2011 at 8:00pm. Concert admission is free, with a suggested donation of $5.00.  This concert will be held indoors and seating will be on a first- come-first-seated basis.

No stranger to the country music scene, Mark Miklos has been writing songs since childhood and has been the opening act for numerous “big names” in the music business including Ricky Scaggs, Lee Ann Womack & Leann Rimes.  One of the few present day proponents for bluegrass style, Miklos has performed at various bluegrass festivals
throughout the Northeast.

At The Barron Arts Center performance, Mark Miklos will combine his love for bluegrass with traditional country, creating a magnificent selection of songs that cover both spectrums.  Mark’s riveting voice blends a traditional singing style with the “high-lonesome” of bluegrass.  His modern song structures create a sound that respects the past yet tips its hat to today’s radio.

This concert is part of the Exit 11: NJ Arts Interactive Concert Series and is sponsored by The Woodbridge Township Cultural Arts Commission with the support of Mayor John McCormac.  Funding has been made possible in part by The Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission through a grant provided by The New Jersey State Council on the Arts / Department of State; a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Barron Arts Center is located at 582 Rahway Avenue in Woodbridge, NJ.  Gallery hours are Monday thru Friday 11:00am-4:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 2:00pm-4:00 pm.
