Attend World Day For Consecrated Life Event in Metuchen

The 16th annual World Day for Consecrated Life will be observed in parishes throughout the Diocese of Metuchen February 4 and February 5. This day was created by Pope John Paul II in 1997 and recognizes those devoted to consecrated life, provides an opportunity for them to renew their dedication and invites the entire church to celebrate this gift of consecrated life.

Bishop Paul G. Bootkoski will serve as principal celebrant at an evening prayer service beginning February 5 at 4 pm at the Cathedral of St. Francis of Assisi, 32 Elm Avenue, Metuchen.

During the prayer service, those celebrating significant milestones of their religious profession will be acknowledged by the Bishop and members of the faith community.
