Ducks Up at Impromptu St. Georges Ave. Pond

Making the best out of an unfinished basement...

Just steps away are cars, trucks, and the constant traffic of one of busiest streets. Yet near on St. Georges Avenue, several ducks have found a home in the foundation structure of an unfinished building.

Two mallard ducks have been using a water-filled cinderblock basement as an impromptu pond for their aquatic sports.

The colorful male mallard and his plain Jane female cousin have been splashing about in the pond basement, apparently oblivious to the "No Trespassing" sign posted on the chainlink fence surrounding the property.
