David's Touch Fundraiser Offers $5 Menu
Here's how to help sick children who may be hospitalized during the holiday season.
Giving to a good cause makes the donor feel great. Sometimes, though, the giver gets an even more tangible reward.
The David's Touch Foundation will be hosting a special fundraiser at the Shannon Rose Irish Pub in Woodbridge from 6 pm to 9 pm on Thursday, December 13. They will be collecting new, unwrapped toys to donate to sick children who may be spending the holidays in the hospital.
In return, the donor will enjoy a special $5 menu at the Shannon Rose.

The symbol of David's Touch is a child's handprint. That's done in memory of David Borrero, a nine-year-old child who suffered from congenital heart problems. He received a new heart transplant, only to die of lymphoma when he was 9 years old.
It was spending all that time in hospitals that gave Jenny Perez-Rosado, David's mother, the idea of doing something for hospitalized children to brighten their days. Jenny said she considers herself to be co-founder of the group - David was the founder and inspiration.
