Youths Recognized for Dedicated Community Service

Youths in Woodbridge's elementary, middle, and high schools were recognized for their outstanding and meaningful community service volunteer work.

This year's Youth Recognition Awards ceremony was held at the Woodbridge Community Center, where students enrolled in Woodbridge's elementary, middle, and high schools were commemorated for their service to the community.

Their recognition was both a signal of appreciation, and encouragement to continue serving the community through generous volunteer work.

Girls who are members of the Junior Catholic Daughters of America were recognized for their efforts in helping to put together baskets and boxes filled with food, which were later handed out to underprivileged families during Thanksgiving.

Mia Rizer was recognized for reading to second and third grade classrooms in her school district. Her dedication to youth literacy and passion for reading did not go unnoticed.

Other students were recognized for volunteering for the Woodbridge libraries, Animal Shelter, Fire Department, and EMT squad. Youth involvement is yet another major  factor for Woodbridge's continued success as a community.
