Woodbridge Township Flood Zone Meeting

The Woodbridge River Community Group is back for its first meeting of the fall! All township residents who are living in the flood zone are welcome! This meeting is especially important for residents who will be added to the flood zone based on the new FEMA flood maps. 

When: Mon, Sept 16th at 7pm.

Where:  First Presbyterian Church (Fellowship Hall), 600 Rahway Ave, Woodbridge

Guests: Sandy Crane, Director, Long Term Recovery Group  & Andrew Horezga, South Amboy resident certified by FEMA in flood mitigation and construction code/compliance requirements

Candace will present information about how the long term recovery group can help Woodbridge Township residents who had unmet needs from Sandy and the distribution of Sandy relief funds targeted for township residents.

Andrew Horezga will break down the flood maps and talk about  the new FEMA requirements.  The FEMA flood maps that were released over the summer put many more Woodbridge Township households in a flood zone.   Many are not even be fully aware of the new NFIP requirements that they will face.  Andrew will provide the information that all flood zone residents need to know to be prepared for what's ahead!
