Dine to Donate - Support the Woodbridge Animal Shelter
Come out and help the Woodbridge Animal Shelter raise funds. All funds go directly to the medical care above and beyond the basic medical care that the township provides as well as replacing supplies that were lost when the shelter flooded during Hurricane Sandy . Woodbridge Township Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center cares for the homeless and abandoned animals in the Woodbridge area.
Unos is located at 61 US-1 South, Metuchen, NJ

Dates: Nov 8, 2012 through Nov 10, 2012
Valid for dine in or takeout.
Unos will donate 15% of your bill if total receipts for the fundraiser are $1,000 or less.
Unos will donate 20% of your bill if total receipts for the fundraiser are greater than $1,000.
You must give a certificate to your server for your bill to count.

it is not true woodbridge animal shelter does not care about your pet unless it is less then 6 months old all others will be put to sleep because i was there and that is what they said to me.

The Woodbridge Animal Shelter has many kittens under 6 months old and all are doing well. They never kill for space. Although they are not technically a no kill shelter, they very much operate like one.

I am a member of PETA, and have contacted them to see if there is any way for them to help you out. Switching the policy to technically be A NO KILL SHELTER may help with donations.

They have never killed for space. They have only put to sleep those animals that were too sick to help and the humane thing to do was to put them down. They have a good foster program and have sent the hard to place dogs to sanctuaries when all options have been exhausted.

why was my cat there you ask well i was moving to another country and it was very hard to get the papers i needed for my cat but he did have all his shots and was in very good health so i was hoping someone would take him in he was very friendly.
but as soon as i brought him there the girl with the blond hair said we cant keep him
i think it was because his name was hitler i dont think so. they should all be fired and put new people in there i wish the mayer could only see for himself what goes on there because i used to work for the township of woodbridge for 20 years so i do know what goes on i am sorry to say.

This shelter will be here 5 years in December. The former shelter that was housed in an abandoned factory was not good and was run by different people. This shelter has never just killed any animal. We have cats that have been at the shelter for over a year. You should come to the shelter during public hours and see for yourself.

Very hard to get papers? I've moved countries - with my cat. While it wasn't easy, I did what it took. My pets are like my kids. I would never leave an animal at a kill shelter, ever. I believe those at the current shelter would do all they could to help but part is YOUR responsibility. WAS doesn't advertise as being no-kill and while I am very against killing animals, irresponsible pet owners and breeders seem to outnumber good people to rescue and it becomes a horrible, disgusting necessity. The girl you spoke to was probably trying to get you to keep your cat. The tactics are pretty horrible and apparently it didn't work, anyway. I'm heartbroken for your cat.

in it i said when i brought my cat there i gave them a 10 pound bag of cat food and $100 for other food even when she said she was going to put my cat to sleep.

Some people just won't ever "get" it...
A pet's life should be worth more than $100 and a 10lb bag of food... But that's just my opinion. I'm in no way affiliated with the shelter, I just think this is a really crappy time to be bringing negativity when they need help. This isn't about you or some blonde woman who made you feel bad, it's about getting help for the current shelter and the animals they're taking care of.
