A Sense of Humor During Sandy

Some things are just woefully amusing....

Like everyone else, I was scrambling to find a generator before the Big Blow hits later today. I should've known better after Hurricane Irene dumped two feet of water in my basement once the sump pumps stopped after the electricity went off.

So I did what everyone else did and got on line at Home Depot (and other stores selling generators.)

Early on, though, I checked out Amazon. You do know Amazon sells pretty much everything - from a gallon of milk for $45 (this is probably a joke) all the way to and including do-it-yourself coffins (real ones, not for Halloween, unless you are a real Halloween purist.)

Amazon sells generators. Only problem is that you can get it with free Super Saver Shipping by Nov. 1. I tried several to see how fast I could get one, but the time constraints killed that idea.

This morning I got an email from Amazon. Based upon what I left in my cart - generators - they're hoping I'm still in the market for one.

Uh huh.

At least someone has a sense of humor (maybe I should be checking out the caskets...)
