Various online news websites are reporting that Comcast will offer free WiFi hotspots to non-customers in the Woodbridge Township area. The listings on www.xfinity.com/wifi hyperlink appear only as addresses and include the following:

The Hilton Woodbridge at 120 Wood Avenue South, Iselin. 732-494-6200;

La Mirage Motor Inn at 969 U.S. 1, Avenel. 732-750-3800;

The Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel, 515 U.S. Highway 1 South, Iselin. 732-634-3600, and

The Days Inn at 893 Route 1 South, Iselin. 732-634-4200.

Some of the telephone lines are in service as of this writing but call local businesses first to confirm availability of complimentary Internet access and/or to find out more about lobby access and whether or not you may recharge cell phones and laptops at the locations.

Various businesses in Woodbridge Center Mall also appear on the Xfinity WiFi hotspot locator. The shopping center website states that the mall will open at 10 am today but store and restaurant hours may vary. Telephone service to the mall is working. To use a hotspot, search for the "xfinitywifi" network name. Non-customers can click on "Not a Comcast subscriber?" link at the bottom of the sign-in page, then select "complimentary trial session" from the drop-down list. Users will be asked to renew their sessions every two hours.
