Woodbridge Township sponsored a Halloween bash on Saturday, but still, town residents are confused about whether traditional trick or treating is still happening.
It is; it's on today, from 3 pm to 7 pm.
This is what was on the town's website over the weekend (it was taken down this morning):
"In accordance with the directive of Governor Chris Christie, the traditional Halloween of door-to-door candy collecting has been postponed in Woodbridge Township until Mon., Nov. 5 when door-to-door trick-or-treating will be permitted.
"Please note that the Halloween curfew remains in place from 7:00 P.M. to sunrise every night - Fri., Nov. 2 – Mon., Nov. 5, 2012 - and applies to everyone under the age of 18 (unless accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult). Police will issue a warning and instructions to return home to first-time violators; second offense violators will be taken into custody and held until picked up by a parent or guardian."

I'm done with Halloween, but my 7yr old and 5 year old are not. They understand that we're fortunate and that the storm hurt a lot of people, but they don't understand why they can't go trick-or-treating "traditionally". We will try a few houses, that's all.

Be careful everyone. There is still alot of debris on the side of the roads. Wooden fences with nails sticking out, fallen trees and more.
Make sure your children are aware and stay away from the debris.
Happy and safe Trick or Treating!

Good point, Foodie. Be careful when you're out there! There's still a lot of debris around.
