The Oldest Living Professional Wrestler To Be Feted in Carteret

Angelo Savoldi is 98, and his almost century-long career is being honored tonight.

The Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame will honor Angelo Savoldi, the oldest living professional wrestler, tonight at a dinner in Carteret.

The event will take place at at the Radisson Hotel at 30 Minue Street in Carteret. The time will be confirmed soon; call Event Coordinator Davey O'Hannon at 732-283-0487 for more information or the Radisson Hotel at 732-541-2005. The cost is $50.

Savoldi, who is 98, is a former World Junior Heavyweight champion. He is currently the oldest living professional wrestler in the U.S. Numerous professional wrestlers are scheduled to appear at the event including Bob Backlund, Tito Santana, Davey O’Hannon and "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharpe.

A buffet style dinner will be served at the event. Guests will be able to obtain autographs and have their picture taken with the wrestlers at no additional cost.
