Post HERE to Find Gas, Milk, & Staples

Do you know where to find gas, milk, and other necessities in Woodbridge and the area? Post it HERE.

We're all running out of the staples because of Hurricane Sandy. People are getting desperate for the basics.

If you know where things ARE, please post here. Tell us what you got, what's available, the location (an address if possible), and the price (if it's unusual; there are instances of price gouging because of the storm.)

This article will be pinned at the top of Woodbridge Patch for easy access.

Let's keep helping one another out during this crisis.

Aldi in Fords opened Thursday (they're located right next to the new Wawa.) Before they opened, the store, obviously, was full of everything. You might want to try there, but BEWARE the lines of traffic snaking over to the Wawa gas pumps!

Shoprite has been open for a while. They still had quite a lot of bottled water last night. Running very low on milk and bread but they did have some.

For gas, there's the Wawa on 9 south, the Hess stations on 9 North & South, the Delta on Rahway Ave in Avenel, the two stations on the corner of Green St and St. Georges Ave, and two stations on Roosevelt Ave in West Carteret (may be walk-up only - there was a line of cars when I left home this morning, but not anymore despite a good bunch of people waiting with gas cans).

For deborah.bell
This is for the HESS Corporation they have done a outstanding job on Routes 1&9 north & south sides, they have always had gas and have keep the lines under control for the customers and held there price at $3.19 during tuff times. OUTSTANDING JOB HESS.

After waiting on line for 2 hours at (SEIFERTS GULF) Convey blvd rt.35 and being told they had no more gas, Drove by with my wife 2 hours later to see the attends still pumping gas, for friends. Stopped and asking and was told gas is only for friends. Not to mention before the storm they were $3.35 per gallon, after the storm they were $3.49 per gallon, and now they are $3.69 per gallon. To me thats price gouging. SEIFERTS GULF WILL NEVER SEE MY BUSINESS AGAIN.
