LAST CHANCE: The Duprees Perform at Free Concert
The popular "You Belong to Me" group celebrates a 50th anniversary milestone tonight in Woodbridge.
It's been a half century since "You Belong to Me" became a standard on the American pop music charts. Tonight, the group that made this their signature song, the Duprees, will be performing at 7:30 pm in the field next to Woodbridge High School.
The Duprees have undergone changes as original members died or retired, but the successors still play the hits that made the band great: "Have You Heard", "Tara's Theme", "Why Don't You Believe Me".
Concert goers should bring a lawn chair or blanket, and they are reminded that the donation of canned goods and non perishable items to Woodbridge's food banks for the needy is appreciated.
The concert is part of the long standing Mayor's Summer Concert Series.
