Caroll said the conversion from DeLorean to a replica of the Back to the Future time machine was completed in December 2011. He made adjustments to the DeLorean, which he has owned since high school, before shipping it off to Robert “Videobob” Mosley in Dallas for the full time machine conversion. According to Carroll, Mosley is the only person endorsed by Kevin Pike, the man who built the time machine for the Back to the Future movies.

Since the replica’s completion, Carroll has made the vehicle available for appearances at charity events and business openings, including an appearance at in Red Bank.

The DeLorean makes a splash whenever its out on the town, Carroll noted.

“It’ll go toe to toe with any car around. People will pass up Maseratis and come right over to the time machine,” he said.
