Friday was Prom Night for JFK Students at the Renaissance Hotel

JFK High School students rocked the latest fashions in tuxedos and gowns at this year's prom, held at the Renaissance Hotel in Iselin.

It was a night of glitz and glamour, just the thing of which memories are made. That was the scene at the Renaissance Woodbridge Friday night for the seniors of John F. Kennedy High School, as they arrived at the Iselin hotel which was to host the school's annual prom.

As the members of the senior class arrived, queuing up for the entry into the ballroom, the feeling of excitement and anticipation was palpable.

"I'm looking forward to a fun night with good food and lots of dancing," said Tiffany Araujo, a student at JFK high school who brought her date Neco Williams to the prom.

David Exantus and his date Alexandra Rodriguez, both JFK seniors, could barely contain their joy.

"This prom night is going to be epic!" they exclaimed.

As the students filled the lobby, many parents arrived at the hotel to watch their grown-up sons and daughters go off into the night and sneak a few pix for the family album.

Some parents were emotionally overcome as they watched their offspring on the threshold of adulthood; one mother in particular was seen crying on the side after she hugged her daughter farewell for the remainder of prom night.

Since prom is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the seniors of JFK were looking forward to indulging in the great music, young love, delicious food, and everlasting friendships that prom is all about.
