Bahama Breeze Opens to a Vibrant Crowd
For the second week in a row, a new restaurant on the property of Woodbridge Center opens.
The second of two restaurants opened in Woodbridge a week apart.
Sarah Schmidt had tried Olive Garden last week, pronouncing the food "divine."
"I love it. But I've eaten at other Olive Garden's before. I'm really looking forward to Bahama Breeze," she said. "It's different."
While Olive Garden opened with a bit of a bang, Bahama Breeze's opening was a bit more laid back.
No Halloween parties, no fireworks, no ribbon cuttings. "We're laid back," said Rich Warner, general manager of the new restaurant.
"We open at 4 pm on Halloween. We expect to be very busy," he said. "The line will be out the door at 3:30."
Warner, who also opened another branch in Wayne, said that they featured a regular menu that offers entrees with a Carribean edge.
"Bahama Breeze delivers that Carribean escape. It enables an island state of mind," Warner laughed, reciting the chain's motto.
